A monthly class series, beginning April 17th, 2016
Learn how to strengthen your recovery by integrating it with mindfulness meditation and therapeutic, trauma-sensitive movement practices. You will discover how to apply mind-body awareness to recovery through the use of core principles of Buddhism, yoga, and other time-honored traditions.
Who Should Take this Class
This class will help you if you are in recovery from addiction, from trauma, from “life,” or if you’re merely looking for resources and skills to promote a deeper experience of joy and aliveness.
No prior experience in meditation or therapeutic movement is necessary. All are welcome.
Each class will offer a presentation focusing upon either meditation or mindful movement, followed by a period of discussion and Q&A.
You may take as many or as few of the classes as you wish. The classes are not sequential, and each class is valuable in itself.
Insights into Mindful Recovery will be taught by Eddie LeShure and Margaret Kirschner. Eddie and Margaret are the founders of A Mindful Emergence, LLC, an Asheville organization that offers integrative wellness programs incorporating mindfulness and movement therapy.
