About Heather Sundberg
Heather Sundberg has taught insight meditation since 1999 and has completed the Spirit Rock/IMS Teacher Training program. She began her own meditation practice in her late teens, and for the last 25 years Heather has studied with senior teachers in the Insight Meditation (Vipassana) and Tibetan (Vajrayana) traditions.
Heather has completed over two years’ worth of silent retreats and, over the past 20 years, has spent one to three months per year in retreat. She was the Spirit Rock Family & Teen Program Teacher & Manager for a decade. Between 2010 – 2015 she spent, cumulatively, one-year in study, practice, and pilgrimage in Asia.
Since 2011, Heather has been a teacher at Mountain Stream Meditation Center and its sister communities in the Sierra Foothills. She also teaches nationally, in particular at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California.
